July 4th:
July 4th Welcome Back Party
Join us on July 4th, from 10AM-3PM to break free from the COVID-19 quarantine, while still following CDC Guidelines. Vendors from across the North Country will be scattered throughout the Zoo so guests can interact safely while they enjoy viewing our animals, fresh air, live music, and sunshine.

Wild Wednesday – Nature’s Frontline Workers
All Frontline Workers, Medical Workers, and First Responders get free admission to Zoo New York as we highlight nature’s frontline workers and recognize others! Nature’s frontline workers are indicator species, scavengers & decomposers, AND pioneer species! Indicators do the work and tell us about the environment and its health! Otters are one of these! Scavengers & decomposers work hard at cleaning up our environment, preventing disease and sickness from spreading. Turkey vultures & roaches are great examples of this! While our pioneer species which are plants are the first living things into an environment to make it safe and ready for everyone else.

Raven & Owl Appreciation Celebration
Celebrate our Owl and Raven friends at Zoo New York with special Kepper Chats and fun for the whole family! We will also be announcing how much the community has donated for Beaker’s eye surgery!

Wild Wednesday – Proper Pets 101
Zoo New York will be highlighting our “pet” species at the Zoo talking about what it REALLY takes to care for the pets you see in the pet store. We will be highlighting ferrets, bearded dragons, snakes, turtles, blue-tongued skink, cats & dogs
August 8th:
Zoo Scouter-day
Join us at Zoo New York in your scouting uniform and get 1/2 OFF Admission for both Scout Leaders and Youth.

Join the Zoo New York team as we celebrate our wild cats with Keeper Chats for our Canadian Lynx, Mountain Lion, and Bob Cat.

September 5th:
Celebrate NY Waterways / Earth Celebration / Outdoor Explores
Join Zoo New York as we celebrate our New York Waterways, Earth Day, and our local Scout Troops! We will be highlighting vendors from our river community while educating our guests on various conservation aspects. Our local Scout Troops will also be participating in a pond reclamation during the day.
September 19th:
Seasons Change
Frostbite, fall leaves, climate change, and seasonal adaptations. They are all part of the season’s change! If you enjoy the fall leaves, come and learn about a word called phenology! Learn about those creatures that migrate, traveling long distances. We will be celebrating the last day of our Butterfly House and appreciating all the truck drivers and teamsters that continue working and traveling long distances to haul goods regularly. We invite truck drivers to visit the Zoo for free on September 19th.

Zoo New York Harvest Fest
Join us at Zoo New York for this NEW experience. This is a limited capacity event so make sure to buy your tickets today! To comply with all NYS and CDC Guidelines, you must buy a Meal Ticket in order to have a beer or wine at Harvest Fest.

Bear Appreciation Celebration
Guests who donate a pumpkin to Zoo New York can enjoy 1/2 price admission for the day!
October 17th, 18th, 24th & 25th:
Boo at the Zoo
Bring your best costume and an extra-large goody bag for Boo at the Zoo 2020! We will be selling timed tickets to ensure social distancing and will be running the event for two full weekends. Walk the Zoo with your family, get some goody bags from our vendors and staff, and celebrate Halloween with your animal friends!
