Birthday Parties at The New York State Zoo at Thompson Park
The Zoo features two birthday party packages:
Zoo Birthday BASH (Cost: Members: $150, Non-members: $165)
The Zoo will provide:
- Admission to the Zoo for up to 35 people (additional guests admitted at a discounted rate $6.00/adult and $3.75 children, 3 and under are free)
- 20 Minute animal presentation featuring 3 live animals (Choices are*:, common millipede, Chilean rose tarantula, water snake, ribbon snake, ball python (snake), Blue Tongued skink (lizard), bearded dragon, box turtles, wood turtle, Blanding’s turtle, leopard gecko, hedgehog, ferret, chinchilla, tiger salamander). * subject to change
- Guided tour of the Zoo
- A ¼ sheet cake in yellow, chocolate, or marble with chocolate/white frosting decorations of your choice
- 2 large Cam’s cheese pizzas (additional pizzas $13- can be ordered at your expense)
- Beverage (Juice) (for children)
- Party room is decorated
- Plates, cups, utensils provided
- Two hour classroom rental
- We clean up!
You provide:
- Invitations
- Goodie bags
- Drinks for adults (no alcohol)
Zoo BASIC Birthday (Cost: Members: $80, Non-members: $95)
The Zoo will provide:
- Admission to the Zoo for up to 35 people (additional guests admitted at a discounted rate)

Please be aware:
- Balloons and noisemakers are not allowed for the safety of the zoo animals.
- Reservations should be made at least a month in advance of the date desired. Spots fill up quickly, especially during our busy season!
- A non-refundable deposit of ½ the price of the party is required at time of registration.
