 Adopt an Animal

Animal adoptions are a great way to help the zoo with support throughout the year, and recieve some special perks in return!


$50 Dollar Level

  • Adoption Certificate, 5x7 Picture of the Animal, Fact Sheet about the animal 
  • Name on the website/newsletter as Zoo parent
  • Quarterly reports on the animal sent in the mail in throughout the year.

$100 Dollar Level-

  • All of the above
  • Certificate for admission for a family of 4 to an enrichment program through the education department. 
  • Certificate for 50% off one item in the gift shop

$150 Dollar Level-

  • All of the Above
  • Behind the scenes tour of the adopted animal*

$250 Dollar Level-

  • All of the Above
  • Painting encounter with the animal. This includes watching the animal “create” a masterpiece on canvas that the adoptive parent can take home.*


*Depending on the temperament or current training schedule of the animal, substitutions of animals involved may be required.

Adoptions forms can be returned by mail with a check made out to Thompson Park Zoo as payment, or payment can be done by credit card over the phone by calling 315.782.6180. Also available is credit card payment through network for good, below.
