Zoofari  Guide 2016

Zoofari Day Camp is tailored to childen ages 6-12.

Registration for the Summer 2016 Day Camp Sessions is now available. Please see documents below descriptions. Online payment options will be available late April, payments and registration can be sent in the mail or turned in at the front desk of the Zoo during business hours.

This year the Zoo’s popular summer camp is getting a makeover. Expanding on our institutional transition to more STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) based programming, Zoofari will encompass learning about many aspects of science and the natural world. Students will be involved with real citizen science projects in a variety of subjects, providing valuable data to the scientific community. Not that we will be spending all of our time in the classroom! We will be exploring the Zoo, some of our more natural ecosystems and all of our education animal collection weekly! This is sure to be an action packed learning experience for all.

Week 1 July 11-15 Experimental Design (Scientific Process)

Week 2 July 18-22 Earthmovers (Water and Soil)

Week 3 July 25-29 How the Weather Works (Weather Events and Corresponding Animal Adaptations)

Week 4 August 1-5 Birds, Bees, Plants and Trees (Pollinators and Plants)
