Fragile Wilderness
2008
The Zoo’s annual wildlife and wild places exposition,
being held for the 15th year on August 22-24. Now a three day event!
- August 22 - Guest Lecturer Tim Gallagher speaking
at JCC discussing his part in rediscovering the ivory billed woodpecker.
- August 23rd - the exhibitor expo on Zoo grounds focusing
on encouraging our community members to become more involved in local and
regional conservation efforts, to explore the wealth of natural areas in
the region and to lead more sustainable lives. Activities are provided
for individuals of all ages.
- August 24th - field trip day, guided excursions to regional
natural areas. Topics to include birding, geology, natural history, etc.
